Photos from “THE GIG”

After over 2 months of rehearsal and a day of setup, we played for half an hour and now it’s over. Funny how that works, hey? It went pretty well, even if the crowd wasn’t quite what we had expected (more oldies than expected, hah). Our Doors cover went down well and we were even requested to play it again once our set had finished.

The boys played extremely well, having watched back the video though I’m a bit disappointed with my singing. I pushed out too hard in the first few songs, which resulted in me breaking a few notes in the last half of the set and there’s definitely a few flat notes in there too. :( Oh well, we’re always most critical of ourselves, I’ll just have to keep up the practise.

Now that THE GIG is over, we’ll be going back to writing new songs, which will be a nice change. I don’t think we’ll try to organise any more live performances this year, we’ll wait until we’ve got a larger set of songs to choose from. This whole experience was great though, and now that we’ve got our first performance done, the next ones will be a lot easier.

Here are a bunch of photos from the day, video and sound are being edited and will be up soon.
